18th Hole at Doral Played Tough Thursday

The 18th hole at Doral played extremely dificult for the boys in the PGA Tour during the WGC-Cadillac Championship this Thursday. The avearage score was 4.74 on the 471 yard par 4. Head wind conditions made this hole’s average score higher than three of the par 5’s! Charl Schwartzel managed to make par and said “felt like an eagle”. “I hit 3-wood into 18, par 4, and 7-iron into the first, which is a par 5,” Luke Donald said after a 70. “Just a beast of a hole today.” Dustin Johnson hit the camera crane boom! (see video below) Doral is providing us with some very entertaining golf this week.

I’m surprised that wasn’t ruled some type of artificial instruction and he then be allowed to re-tee…

    • Pretty errant shot, probably not fair to the field to allow a re-tee.
